Port Broadcasting has moved its Classic Hits “Seacoast Oldies” brand to 1220 WWSF/104.3 W282CS Sanford ME as the company has closed on the sale of 1540 WXEX/97.1 W246BP Exeter NH, 107.5 W298CU Chester NH and 92.1 WXEX-FM Sanford to Educational Media Foundation.
Seacoast Oldies replaces Oldies “The Legends” on WWSF. It will absorb some of the music played on WWSF along with the local news, weather, sports reports, Sanford Mainers baseball, and high school football that had been heard on the station.
Port filed to transfer WXEX/WXEX-FM and the two translators to Educational Media Foundation in Mid-April with a $690,000 purchase price attached. The deal closed on Monday, with both stations set to join EMF’s Christian AC “K-Love” network under new WPKC and WPKC-FM call letters pending.
