Christian Media of the Valley has closed on its purchase of Bilingual Hot AC “Ultra 104.9” KJAV Alamo/McAllen TX and has flipped the station to Christian AC “Life Radio“.
On its website the station notes, “In May of 2023, Christian Ministries came across an ad for an RGV Metro Station for sale. Acting quickly, contact was made with the seller. After a couple of weeks, much prayer, and submission of many legal documents, Life Radio 104.9 FM is here now to bring Today’s Christian Music to you! Our hope is to bring you an edifying message and family friendly music. As a fresh and new Christian radio alternative, we have designed a format that will be available from the early morning hours into the late hours of the night. The time has come for CMV with Life Radio 104.9 FM to provide you and all listeners Christian music that will brighten your day, bring melodies that will encourage your soul, and local messages that will provide insight to everyday challenges.”
Christian Ministries of the Valley also owns Spanish Christian “Radio Vida” heard in the Rio Grande Valley on 1290 KRGE Weslaco. They paid $1.45 million to acquire KJAV from Andres Bichara’s Bi-Media.
