James Reynolds’ BroadSouth Communications Inc. acquires 98.5 WINL Linden and Adult R&B “106.5 The River” WZNJ Demopolis AL from John Weller’s Westburg Broadcasting Alabama for $25,000. BroadSouth has been operating the stations via Time Brokerage Agreement since 2014. As part of the deal, Westburg will surrender the license of 1400 WXAL Demopolis. WINL simulcasts BroadSouth’s “Dixie Country” 101.1 WDXX Selma.
Robert Maschio is acquiring the 62% of Regional Media’s “I’m Country” 1580 KNIM/95.9 K240DY and Alternative 97.1 KVVL Maryville MO he doesn’t own. Maschio will pay Fletcher Ford $150,000 for his 52% stake and Darren Brown $28,000 for his 10% share.
