After ceasing operations on December 31, 2022, 93.3 KXAZ/100.1 K261BX and 1340 KPGE/98.3 K252FG Page AZ have resumed broadcasting with new identities.
The former Variety Hits “AZ 93.3” KXAZ/K261BX is now Classic Hits “Rewind 93” and sister Country “The Bandit” KPGE/K252FG is now “Kix 98.3“.
Janet Brown shut down both stations on New Year’s Eve last year as part of her retirement and planned relocation to New Mexico. Vance and Karey Barbee’s Southwest Broadcasting agreed to purchase the stations earlier this month for $150,000 with an immediate LMA. The Barbees own stations in and around Show Low AZ, Clovis NM and other parts of eastern Arizona through Estrella Broadcasting and New Star Radio LLC and five non-commercial stations under New Path Communications LLC.
