After stunting on Sunday as “106.3 Rick-FM“, NBZ LLC Classic Hits “Z106.3” WNBZ-FM Saranac/Plattsburgh NY relaunched at 7:00 this morning at “106.3 NBZ-FM“.
The station is now positioning as “The Greatest Hits of All Time” with what they describe as narrower than what they were playing previously but with a playlist still “broader than most.
The relaunch comes with a new on-air lineup. Rick Woodhouse moves from middays to mornings replacing Jim Gratton, who retired from the morning show on December 29, but will remain with the station as a fill-in host. Dylan Ayer joins the station to track middays. Former WTCB Columbia SC and WROZ Lancaster PA Program Director Ronnie Ramone joins as afternoon tracker replacing Melanie Sands, who departed for a new upcoming opportunity. Owner Bill Dickinson’s weekend shows remain in place.
WNBZ-FM has re-launched as 106.3 NBZ-FM, playing The Greatest Hits of All Time! The playlist, while narrower than the former incarnation, is broader than most Classic Hits stations. Not only are The Greatest Hits of All Time at the core remit of the station, so is Personality Driven Radio. Listening to NBZ-FM will be anything but boring!
Woodhouse takes over mornings from Jim Gratton, who announced his retirement on his show on Friday. Jim will still be with us as a fill-in personality when needed. Dylan Ayer takes over the mid-day shift from Woodhouse. Ronnie Ramone, previously of WTCB Columbia, SC and former OM of the Hall Communications cluster in Lancaster, PA and PD of Fun 101.3 (WROZ) is the drivetime host. Bill Dickerson will continue his weekend shows, every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 AM. Worship with Pastor Ric will also continue every Sunday morning at 8:00 AM.
WNBZ-FM is an independently owned and operated station, owned by Bill Dickerson through NBZ, LLC. Bill started in radio in 1967 when he helped put SUNY Cortland’s college radio station on the air and has worked on several radio stations over the course of his career before taking ownership of WNBZ-FM. At one point, Bill worked for the Legendary Cousin Brucie!

Midday host Rick Woodhouse tells us that former market personality Slater, who now hosts co-hosts mornings at Cox Media Country “K92.3” WWKA Orlando, “kicked owner Bill Dickerson off the air for station renovations” and is serving as guest host for the new identity.
