In addition to the previously confirmed cut of Classic Hip Hop 93.5 KDAY Redondo Beach/93.5 KDEY-FM Ontario midday host PJ Butta, we have verified that additional midday hosts at Meruelo Media Los Angeles have been let go.
Carolina Marquez departs middays at Spanish Rhythmic “Cali 93.9” KLLI. Marquez joined KLLI as morning co-host soon after its launch in 2019 before moving to middays in January 2020. She previously hosted middays at “Radio Centro 93.9” KXOS and “Mega 96.3” KXOL and was a VJ for MTV Tr3s.
Bryhana Monegain departs middays at Hip Hop “Power 106” KPWR after being in the role since 2018. She briefly held the same role at KDAY for three months before moving over to KPWR. She began her career in 2017 hosting weekends and fill-ins for iHeartMedia Hip Hop “Real 92.3” KRRL Los Angeles and CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM San Diego.
While not confirmed yet, Marci Wiser’s midday shift at Rock 95.5 KLOS was vacant on today and Friday. Wiser joined KLOS in 2015 and during her tenure also previously tracked middays at Cumulus’ 101.1 KBER Salt Lake City and other markets from 2015 to 2021. She began her career in Salt Lake in the early 90s with stints hosting nights at 97.1 KISN, co-hosting mornings at 94.9 KZHT and 102.7 KQMB and then hosting middays at “94.9 The Blaze” KHTB. Wiser then headed to Phoenix where she co-hosted mornings at 93.3 KDKB and middays at 97.9 KUPD before joining “92.3 K-Rock” WXRK New York from 2007-2009 followed by a brief stint as MD/midday host at “Classic Rock 94.7” WTGB Washington DC. She would then return to Salt Lake to host middays at Alternative “96X” KXRK from 2009-13 and then went to iHeartMedia’s “102.9 Now” KYNW Seattle from 2013-15, where she also tracked stations in Grand Rapids, Memphis, Portland, and Salt Lake City until joining KLOS.
Additional part-timers and off-air staffers have also been let go.
PJ Butta has been with KDAY since 2012 with time in afternoons and middays after a long run hosting nights at “92.3 The Beat” turned “100.3 The Beat” KKBT and a run at Rhythmic Oldies “Hot 92.3” KHHT. Butta also currently serves as in-game host for the Los Angeles Dodgers, serves as a professor in the radio program at Mt. San Antonio College, serves as imaging voice for “Jammin 101.5” KJHM Denver, and hosts the long-running syndicated “Official World Chart Show“. Butta notes he is open to other opportunities on air and for VO imaging work and can be reached at pjbutta@gmail.com.

Damn they pretty much slashed Klos in 2020, this is bad and in market 2. I hope Marci gets rehired somewhere, best mid day show in the country.
Heard Marci and KLOS the first time in September when visiting LA. Loved the variety on the station so much I started streaming it when I got back to Michigan. On her lunch time request show, I was hearing songs I hadn’t heard in years and stuff SXM wasn’t playing. This was a real dumb move on corporates part.
PJ Butta is awesome and does amazing work for Jammin 101.5 as their voice. Hit him up for demos!!
