Jay Michaels is heading to Jackson MS as Brand Manager of Digio Strategies’ AC “Mix 98.7” WJKK Vicksburg and CHR “Y101” 101.7 WYOY Gluckstadt starting Friday, May 17
Michaels comes to Jackson from Austin where he previously programmed Waterloo Media Hot AC “Lucy 93.3” KGSR and AAA “97.1 Austin City Limits Radio” K246BD/KGSR-HD2 Austin from 2020 until 2023. He had a previous stint in Austin programming Dance CHR “Mega 93.3” KXMG and Hip Hop “Hot 93.3” KDHT in the early 2000s and was Music Director at CHR 96.7 KHFI.Michaels has also programmed “100.3 Jack-FM” KJKK, CHR “Amp 103.7” KVIL, Alternative “102.1 The Edge” KDGE and Hot AC “102.9 Now” KDMX Dallas, CHR 104.1 KRBE Houston, Hot AC “Sweet 98.5” KQKQ and Rhythmic CHR “Power 106.9” KOPW Omaha, and spent six years as Operations Manager for Sinclair Communications Norfolk VA.

Micahels succeeds Chris Bender overseeing WJKK and Matt Mony at WYOY. Both exited the company in March.
