Reno Media Group has promoted “Ten Country @ 97.3” KOLC Carson City/Reno NV morning co-host Robbie Owens to Program Director.

Owens joined KOLC last September to co-host mornings with Cat Bellah. He previously spent a decade at Midwest Communications’ “Big Country 92.5” KTWB Sioux Falls SD rising to afternoon host in 2017.

He takes the Program Director duties from Mike Bushey, who will continue to program Classic Hits “103.7 The River” KODS, Alternative “96.1 The Zone” 1230 KZTQ, and Classic Rock “92.5 The Hog” 1270 KBZZ and co-host mornings on KODS.

General Manager Kara Brown stated, “Robbie’s quick wit and leadership skills have been a great boost to the station and we’re confident that he and Cat will be leading the station to even greater success. Robbie’s been handling the music for many months and now he’s taking the reins from the multi-talented Mike Bushey.” She added that Owens’ promotion will allow Bushey to have more time for those other stations.

Operations Manager Bill Schulz will continue programming CHR “Alice 96.5” KLCA. Hip Hop “Swag 104.9” KLCA-HD2, AC “Sunny 106.9” KRNO, oversee Spanish CHR “Suave 96.9” KLCA-HD3 and Spanish Adult Hits “Juan 101.7” KLCA-HD4, and all programming and technical operations of the cluster.
