Asheville NC has seen its second format change this month as iHeartMedia flipped Alternative “Alt 101.1” W266CP Candler/WQNQ-HD2 to Rhythmic Throwbacks “Throwbacks 101.1” at noon today.

Positioning as “Asheville’s Classic Hip Hop and R&B”, the new brand will feature Usher, Nelly, Beyonce, Jay-Z, 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. The station’s lineup will include Big Boy in The Morning, Ashlee Young in middays, Raleigh based B. Paiz’s “The Block Party” in afternoons, Lady Ray at night, and Roxy Romeo overnights.
