Audacy CHR “B93.7” WFBC-FM Greenville SC has added the “Dex & Barbie T Show” for afternoons.
The launch came after a week of teasers promoting “change” coming to the station building up to an announcement at 7am today. That led into a half-hour of three fake format changes (Christmas Music “Magic 93.7“, Classic Hits “Earth-FM“, and Rhythmic Throwbacks “93.7 The Block“) before introducing the return of the duo to the market.
Dex Mitchell and Barbie T Whitmire previously hosted mornings at SummitMedia Rhythmic CHR “Hot 98.1” WHZT from 2017 until January 2023 when they moved to Jacksonville to host mornings at Cox CHR 95.1 WAPE where they will continue to be based.
Dex & Barbie T were previously syndicated internally by SummitMedia to “Hot 104.5” WKHT Knoxville from 2019-23. Prior to arriving at WHZT in 2017, Mitchell previously was APD/morning host at Saga Hot AC “Mix 96.5” WOXL Asheville and hosted mornings at Galaxy Communications Rock “K-Rock” WKRL/WKLL/WKRH Syracuse/Utica NY as well as nights at Audacy Rock “Planet Radio 93.3” WTPT Greenville. Barbie T spent a decade at WHZT previously hosting mornings with Tone Hollywood and Mike Klein prior to Mitchell’s arrival before their move to Jacksonville.

Barbie T added, “Y’all, Barbie T is back and better than ever. I’m beyond excited to bring ‘The Dex and Barbie T Show’ back to the Upstate on B93.7! That’s right, Queen B is now on B93.7! You know I’ve missed connecting with all my people, spreading love and keeping it real with you every morning. We’re bringing the laughs, the sass and, of course, reminding all my ladies out there—you got value, honey! Buckle up because this ride is about to get lit!”
WFBC-FM Brand Manager Dave Jackson said, “We’re excited to welcome Dex and Barbie T back to the Upstate. The show has always been a local favorite and we can’t wait for the energy and connection it brings to our community once again on B93.7.”
The show replaces Audacy’s national tracker Bru in afternoons. Bru will now be heard from 10pm-2am.
