Sanford Cohen’s AZ Hometown Radio has signed on 94.7 KJXL-FM Blue Ridge/Flagstaff AZ as Variety Hits “94.7 Jack-FM“.
The new station absorbs the programming that had been on 94.7 K234CF Prescott and 106.9 KPPV-HD2 Prescott Valley including a local morning show hosted by Lindsay Draper. That translator has a CP to relocate to 100.3. The new KJXL-FM is a Class C1 signal covering Flagstaff, Sedona and Cottonwood.
Cohen’s group has also its upgrade of 103.9 KIDD Fort Mohave AZ to 4.2kW/-94m giving the signal coverage of Laughlin NV and Needles. KIDD continues to operate as “Jack-FM” simulcasting 95.7 KPKR Parker/Lake Havasu City and 99.5 K258DW Kingman AZ.

Are the jack stations in small and medium market still required to run syndication version or can they customize? I guess the answer is sort of in the article with the fact that there’s a morning show, but I’m not sure if they were just running the same playlist or if they’re able to Run something in market.
We run the JACK playlist and mix in our local weather and community events during Lindsay’s show.
Thank you for the response. It’s always cool to see how local operators are making the situations work for them these days.
