iHeartMedia flipped 1990s Hits “B107.3” K297AK Loveland CO/97.9 KXBG-HD2 Cheyenne WY to 1980s Hits “Rewind 107.3“.
The station had been been in its annual “Christmas 107.3” mode until the flip. The now former all-90s brand had launched in June 2017. The new format places the station in more direct competition with Townsquare Media’s “Retro 102.5” KTRR with both stations using similar positioning. KTRR continues to use “70s, 80s & More”, while the new Rewind is using “NoCo’s 80’s & More”
The new brand launched at 12pm today with David Bowie & Queen “Under Pressure”, Paul McCartney “Say Say Say”, Stevie Nicks “Stop Dragging My Heart Around”, Kenny Loggins “Footloose”, and Dexys Midnight Runners “Come On Eileen”.
