Bryan Broadcasting has flipped Southern Gospel “Gospel 97.3” 1510 KAGC/K247CS Bryan TX to Adult R&B “Magic 97.3“.
Positioning as “Aggieland’s R&B and Throwbacks”, the new format will feature Premiere Networks’ Steve Harvey Morning Show and the WBLS New York based “Quiet Storm with Lenny Green” at night. Core artists will include Mary J. Blige, Usher, Luther Vandross, Aaliyah, October London, and Tony! Toni! Tone! The market previously has not had a station in the format with Brazos Valley Communications’ “101.9 The Beat” KBXT mixing R&B and Hip Hop.
The new format launched at 12pm today with Tevin Campbell “Can We Talk”, Ginuwine “Differences”, H.E.R. “Damage”, Al B. Sure “Nite and Day”, and TLC “Red Light Special”.
