
Pirate Actions
Fines were proposed against a pair of pirate operators in the Miami area.
A $325,322 fine was proposed agains Abdias ‘DJ AJ 305’ Datis for multiple repeat offenses broadcasting as “Unique FM” on 91.7 in Miami on multiple occasions since 2018. A previous $120,000 fine had been issued against Datis last September which he has not responded to. The FCC connected Datis to the station through cell phone number promoted on-air billing records and social media postings and the station originating from his home.
A proposed $60,000 penalty was levied agains Aaron Streeter for operating “Da Pound FM” on 89.1 in Miami Gardens. FCC agents met with Streeter at his home transmitter site in March 2024 where he agreed to cease broadcasting, but a return visit in January 2025 showed the station once again operating.
FCC Actions
The FCC has granted Northern Arapaho Tribe’s petition for a new tribal allocation for a Class C0 on 99.9 in Ethete WY. The new allocation would cover 31,714 persons within its 70 dBu contour. 25,674 of whichreside on the Wind River Indian Reservation.
License Cancellations
After attempting to move the station at times to a commercial license, an experimental operation on the bandwidth of TV channel 5, and later 92.9 in Kingman AZ as a commercial station, Gregory Laporta’s Las Vegas Public Radio Inc. has surrendered the CP for 90.1 KIOF Indian Springs NV.
Following a failure to respond to an inquiry in November, the FCC has cancelled Eternity Media Group WLNO LLC’s 1060 WLNO New Orleans for being off the air or operating with unauthorized facilities since at least October 18, 2021.
After the death of owner Alexander Langer last year, his estate has surrendered the licenses of 650 WSRO Ashland/102.1 W271CU Framingham MA ahead of the one year anniversary of it going silent.
Jewell Schaeffer Broadcasting surrenders the license of Classic Hits 101.3 WAGX Manchester OH/Maysville KY.
After ceasing operations in July, Faith Broadcasting has turned in the license of 1320 KHRT Minot ND.
The University of Montana has turned in the license of “Montana Public Radio” affiliate 91.3 KAPC Butte.
Ahead of their CP expirations, Nevada Public Radio has surrendered 89.7 Yerington NV and 90.7 KMVZ-FM Washington/St. George UT.
Calvary Chapel Meridian cancels its CP for 91.9 Vale OR.
Lucky Boy Educational Media surrenders their CPs for 88.5 Ludlow and 90.7 Cartago CA.

FM Changes
After completing a move further south last month, Alliance Radio’s Polish 103.1 WPNA-FM Evanston/Chicago IL seeks to move back to its former facility with 6kW/90m, which was granted with accelerated processing and already completed.
