Lotus Broadcasting has announced it will acquire 94.7 K234BS Las Vegas from K-Love Inc. for an undisclosed amount and has immediately flipped the translator to Classic Country “94.7 Hank-FM” fed by 97.1 KXPT-HD2.
Las Vegas becomes the fourth market Lotus has launched the “Hank-FM” brand in joining Boise, Reno and Seattle. The band features artists including George Strait, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton, and Luke Combs.
Lotus Las Vegas Market Manager Natalie Marsh said, “As the Las Vegas market continues to grow and country music experiences a resurgence in popularity, we recognized the perfect opportunity to introduce this format to the city. Country music has an incredibly passionate and dedicated audience, and we are thrilled to bring them the authentic experience they crave.”
The 250 watt translator, which operates from Arden Peak southeast of the city, had been operated by Spanish Christian network “Ondas de Vida“. It becomes Lotus’ ninth brand in Las Vegas joining Rock 92.3 KOMP, Classic Rock “97.1 The Point” KXPT, Regional Mexican “La Buena 101.9” KWID, and five Sports stations.
