Midwest Communications has flipped Hot AC “Hits 96.5” WZOX Portage/Kalamazoo MI to Adult R&B “96.5 WTOU“.
As first indicated in our 3/19 Domain Insight, the move upgrades the R&B brand from the AM/translator duo of 1660 WTOU Kalamazoo and 95.5 W238AL Portage to the Class A signal. 96.5 and 1660 will exchange call letters. The station carries programming from Westwood One’s “The Touch” 24/7 network.
WTOU registered a 3.0 share in the Fall 2024 Nielsen Audio ratings down from a 3.7 in the Spring. WZOX had a 1.8 share in the Fall down from a 2.5 in the Spring.
