Today is Amanda Lea’s final day in mornings at Radio FM Media Hot AC “Big 98.7” KLTA Fargo ND.
Lea has been a morning staple in Fargo since 2009 when she joined Country “Froggy 99.9” KVOX-FM. She moved to KLTA with then co-hosts Jesse James and Pike Taylor when it debuted its current format in 2013. Since then she has also been teamed with Gordo and most recently Gabe Glidden. She also previously worked in sales at then-Country “92.5 The Wolf” KWOF Denver.
Lea told listeners this morning, “My kids are growing fast, and I want to be there in the mornings, making memories with them like I’ve made with you.”
Replacing Lea alongside Glidden will be former “Star 101.5” KPLZ Seattle morning co-host Angie Morales. Morales previously worked with John Moug at KPLZ, KCIX Boise, and a syndicated show that aired in Hartford and New London CT, Burlington VT and Searcy AR.
She wrote on Instagram, “My mysterious era is (mostly) over. I’ve joined Mornings on BIG 98.7 in Fargo! Wild, right? So excited to FINALLY announce this new chapter in my career/life. It’s been quite the adventure so far (shoveling snow is my new thing). And I’m ready to light up the airwaves with my incredible co-host Gabe! A time will be had, and you’re invited to listen.”
