Sierra Wave Media has relaunched Classic Rock 92.5 KSRW Independence CA as the “Classic Rock Asylum“.

In a post on the company’s news site, the station writes, “You heard right — same great music, but a new, honest name. KSRW FM is now Classic Rock Asylum!”

They continue, “Why the change? Simple. We decided it was time to stop pretending we’re normal. We’re all a little crazy about our music (and maybe just crazy in general), so it only made sense to embrace it fully. We’re now proudly the radio station run by the lunatics — the die-hard fans who crank the volume to 11, debate guitar solos at 2 AM, and think a good drum solo can fix just about anything. Don’t worry about MC Hubbard, she is still here. We keep her in the straitjacket to keep normal away from the radio. But don’t worry: the soundtrack you love isn’t going anywhere. It’s still the classic rock you know and blast, with even more energy, chaos, and personality behind the mic.”
