Red Apple Media has announced that veteran talker Michael William ‘Lionel’ Lebron is the new host of the syndicated overnight “The Other Side of Midnight”.
Lionel succeeds Frank Morano on the WABC New York based overnight show that is currently heard on about two dozen other stations including WGN Chicago and WCCO Minneapolis. A former prosecutor and trial lawyer, Lionel began his radio career at WFLA Tampa in 1988 before moving to WABC as morning host in 1994. He would host a syndicated show for Premiere Networks and later Rex Broadcasting and WOR Radio Network in the early 2000s along with a stint at Air America. He also has hosted shows for CourtTV, Russia’s RT, and Alex Jones’ Infowars.
He commented, “I’m honored beyond words to be back at WABC—where it all began, my alma mater, the greatest talk radio station in the world. Legendary, historic, storied, unmatched in its legacy. This isn’t just radio, it’s home. It’s the gold standard, the birthplace of giants. And now, I’m back where I belong.”
Red Apple Media President Chad Lopez said, “Lionel brings intellectual depth and razor-sharp humor to every subject. Lionel’s already put his inimitable stamp on the show, and we’ve had a great response from listeners and affiliates.”
