Cumulus Media Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM Chicago has appointed Tyler Naylor as its new afternoon host.
Formerly known as Tom ‘Jammer’ Naylor, he most recently served as Regional VP/Programming and PD of Audacy CHR “B97” WEZB New Orleans from 2008 until exiting in the company’s March layoffs. Naylor has also held on-air and programming roles at KYLZ/KKSS Albuquerque, WEDJ Charlotte, KWID Las Vegas, WABB Mobile, WWKX Providence, WZOK Rockford, and KWWWV San Luis Obispo during his career.
He commented, “It is such a privilege to work for Cumulus Chicago and 94.7 WLS. To be on the air every day and a part of this great media brand, in this amazing city is beyond belief.”
Cumulus VP/Classic Hits and WLS-FM Program Director Todd Cavanah stated, “We are so excited to welcome Tyler to our 94.7 WLS-FM Cumulus team. His major market on-air and programming experience will be very beneficial as we continue to evolve the Classic Hits format in Chicago. He understands how to connect all the elements to engage on social media and on a daily on-air radio show.”
Naylor takes the afternoon slot from Personalities on Demand’s Jaybeau Jones, who joined the station as evening host in February and has hosted afternoons since Tim Virgin’s departure for KSHE St. Louis in March.
