The Josh Innes Show is returning to iHeartMedia Classic Rock 106.7 WLLZ Detroit to host mornings starting Monday, July 28.
Innes, who most recently hosted afternoons at Hubbard Classic Rock 94.7 KSHE St. Louis, previously was heard in mornings on WLLZ from April 2021 until February 2023 from his former base at “105.9 The Rock” WNRQ Nashville.
Innes stated, “I can’t wait to have some fun waking up Detroit every morning. I look forward to being part of what’s going to be an amazing success story.”
Innes made his return to WLLZ on Tuesday night to anchor part of the station’s tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. After starting his career in Sports radio including KILT, KBME, and KFNC Houston and WIP Philadelphia, Innes moved to Classic Rock when he joined WNRQ in 2021. During his tenure at that station, his show was syndicated to Detroit and WEGR Memphis.
WLLZ Program Director Casey Krukowski commented, “Josh is the perfect morning host for WLLZ. His infectious energy, deep passion for rock music, and genuine connection with listeners make him a natural fit. I’m confident Detroit will embrace this show.”
“102.5 The Bull” WDXB Birmingham AL morning host Spencer Graves has been hosting a separate show for Detroit since May 2023.
