K-Love Inc. has agreed to purchase AC “B93.3” WLDB and Alternative “FM 102.1m” WLUM-FM Milwaukee from the Milwaukee Radio Alliance for $4 million.
K-Love Inc. already operates its flagship “K-Love” network on Class A 105.3 WLVE Mukwonago. This deal will give the network a pair of 50kW Class B signals in Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee Radio Alliance, a 50/50 partnership between All-Pro Broadcasting and Times-Shamrock, will retain Oldies “Fonz” 1290 WZTI and Country “Froggy MKE” 100.3 W262CJ Milwaukee/107.3 W297BY Franklin.
WLDB currently ranks sixth in the Milwaukee market with a 5.4 share in the July 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings, while WLUM was tied for tenth with WLVE with a 3.7 share.

Wow, I’m speechless. Yeah I know this is gonna happen more often though. Stockholders don’t play by the same rules that the radio industry plays by, and their cashing their chips in. Both were amazing stations, top-of-the-line programming, imaging, the whole thing.
What stockholders? Both owners of the Milwaukee Radio Alliance are family owned companies.
And this is why radio is dying a slow death. Local owners with somewhat custom content are constantly being replaced by big-money entities like K-Love which zombifies these once-enjoyed stations into nothing but unorigional birdfed pablum. In this case, pablum that’s occasionally giving the hard sell to give your dollars to them (or Jesus or whomever).
It really is a shame. K-Love (nee EMF) in particular has been a slayer of local stations for a couple of decades now. We are no better off for it. In the case of Milwaukee, they’ve just lost their biggest Christmas music station and their only alternative one (a good one at that). It’s nothing to cheer about.
I guess nobody wants 1290 WZTI (the Fonz) and 100.3 W262CJ Milwaukee/107.3 W297BY Franklin. All-Pro needs to cash out everything including KATY in San Bernardino, CA and get out of radio.
