It wasn’t a format change, but ICA Broadcasting Country “My Country 96.1” KMRK-FM Odessa/Midland TX relaunched today as “Hot Country 96.1”
The revamp comes with the addition of a new midday host as Ashlen Ray, who previously worked KORA-FM College Station, will take over that daypart.

KMRK-FM is currently running sweepers teasing that “Something Hot Is Coming To 96.1 Tomorrow”. The station is currently one of three Country stations in the market registering a 2.9 share in the Spring 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings. That trailed Brazos Communications West’s “Kicks 99.1” KHKX’s second ranked 6.6 share and Townsquare Media’s “Lonestar 92.3” KNFM’s 4.7 share.
KMRK-FM currently features Premiere Networks’ Bobby Bones Show in mornings and afternoon host JR.
