Dot Com Plus co-owner/Operations Manager Charles ‘Tim’ Camp passed away on Saturday, September 13 at the age of 73.

Camp spent 56 years in radio beginning his career at 1480 WABB Mobile. In 1993, he was part of the ownership group that launched Sports 105.5 WNSP Bay Minette/Mobile, which has become the longest running FM station in the format. The company acquired AAA 92.1 WZEW Fairhope in 2007 and then launched R&B “The Soul of Mobile” W223BX Saraland/WZEW-HD3 and Classic Rock/Blues “96.5 The Crab” W243CY/WZEW-HD2 in 2018. Camp was serving as Program Director of the music stations and Operations Manager and Chief Engineer for the cluster.

An original founder of the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL and one of the brains behind Mobile’s inaugural, free Ten Sixty Five Music Festival in 2015, Tim Camp was a consummate sound engineer, avid keyboard player, songwriter, father, brother, husband and friend. Tim spent nearly 56 years in radio broadcasting and his lasting influence wil be sorely missed. A celebration of Tim’s life is forthcoming, date and time to be announced.”
