Astral Rock “106.9 Virgin Radio” CKQB Ottawa has returned to its heritage “Bear” moniker.
The station began a promotional stunt a few weeks ago when morning host Gonzo was “suspended” for calling the station by the Bear name instead of Virgin. The stunt led to the return of the previous moniker this morning.
Unlike the remainder of Astral’s “Virgin Radio” branded stations in Canada, CKQB retained its Rock format as opposed to the CHR or Rhythmic AC formats used by its sisters in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary.
