Armada Media is reacquiring the Marinette WI/Menominee MI cluster that it sold to Radio Plus Bay Cities LLC in 2013.
Armada’s AMC Partners Escanaba LLC will pay $1.5 million with $500,000 due at closing, $900,000 held in a promissory note, and $100,000 in debt owed to Armada cancelled. Included in the purchase are “Cat Country 95.1” WLST Marinette, Rock “The Rock 96.3” WSFQ Peshtigo WI, Classic Hits 103.7 WHYB Menominee, Sports 570 WMAM/104.5 W283DD Marinette, and News/Talk 1340 WAGN/100.1 W261DM Menominee. It originally sold the cluster in 2013 for $1.9 million.
Armada Media President/CEO Christopher Bernier is also the principle shareholder in Radio Plus Bay Cities Armada operates three license holding companies with different ownership structures. AMC Partners Escanaba LLC owns fifteen stations in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. AMC Partners Rice Lake LLC holds a five station cluster in Rice Lake WI. Armada Media McCook Inc. holds ten licenses in western Nebraska and northeastern Colorado.
