Audacy Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM New York has officially announced the return of Craig Carton to its afternoon lineup along with additional changes to the station daily lineup.
Carton will be joined with former overnight host Chris McMonigle for “The Carton Show” from 2-7pm weekdays. The current afternoon show hosted by Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber along with producer Shawn Morash will move to middays from 10am to 2pm replacing Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata.
Producer Tommy Lugauer will take over the 7pm-12am timeslot that had been held by Keith McPherson until his departure last month.
Audacy Chief Business Officer and New York Market President Chris Oliviero said, “”Craig Carton’s return reaffirms WFAN’s position as New York’s premier sports destination for big personalities, compelling conversation and highly engaging content that is difficult to ignore. Our 2026 lineup has familiar marquee voices all day and all night, guaranteeing that whenever you tune into The Fan, you will be smack dab in the middle of the New York sports culture.”
Carton commented, “WFAN has always been home to me. Having the opportunity to return and rejoin the best sports talk station in the world is an opportunity I am eagerly looking forward to and beyond excited for.”
Original Report 12/2: The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand is reporting that Craig Carton will return to the daily schedule at Audacy Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM New York in January as part of a significant lineup revamp.
Carton has been hosting the weekly “Hello My Name Is Craig” about gambling addiction on Saturday mornings since exiting afternoons in June 2023 for a short-lived morning show on cable’s FS1. Carton originally joined WFAN in 2007 to host mornings with Boomer Esiason until resigning in September 2017 following his arrest by the FBI. After serving twelve months of a 36-42 month sentence on three federal charges of securities fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud, Carton returned to WFAN in 2020 to join Evan Roberts in afternoons. Prior to joining WFAN in 2007, Carton co-hosted afternoons at “New Jersey 101.5” WKXW Trenton and also worked at WGR Buffalo, WWWE Cleveland, KKFN and KBPI Denver, WIP Philadelphia, and WNEW-FM New York. While awaiting sentencing he briefly hosted on FNTSY Sports Network.
The report states that Roberts and current co-host Tiki Barber will move to middays replacing Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata. Carton will be joined by a new co-host with Marchand noting that current overnight host Chris McMonigle is considered the leading candidate. WFAN also has a night opening to fill following Keith McPherson’s departure a couple weeks ago.
