After stunting with mostly Country leaning Christmas music since December 1, ICA Broadcasting has flipped the former Regional Mexican “107.3 Que Buena” KAJE Ingleside/Corpus Christi TX back to Country.
KAJE relaunched at midnight as “Hot Country 107.3” duplicating the branding launched in August on co-owned “Hot Country 96.1” KMRK-FM Odessa/Midland.
John Cruz will host mornings on the new brand, while cluster General Manager Kelly Morgan, who also hosts mornings on sister Classic Rock “104.5 The Eagle” KPUS, will host afternoons.
KAJE had been Country as “My Country 107.3” and later “107.3 The Bull” until flipping to Regional Mexican at the end of 2023. The station rejoins a crowded Country marketplace that includes iHeartMedia’s “K99” KRYS-FM, Quality Broadcasting Corporation’s 97.5 KFTX, and Claro Communications Classic Country “Retro Country 105.9/103.3” KUKA.
Original Report 12/23: Going unnoticed for the past month, ICA Broadcasting’s 107.3 KAJE Ingleside/Corpus Christi TX has been stunting with a Country leaning Christmas music mix.
KAJE dropped its Regional Mexican “107.3 Que Buena” brand on December 1 putting an end to the two year old Regional Mexican brand.
KAJE had a 1.6 share in the Spring 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings.
