With the end of John Boy & Billy’s syndicated morning show, Cumulus Media Classic Rock “KZ 106” WSKZ Chattanooga is launching a local morning show with Jeremey Loper.
Loper most recently hosted mornings at iHeartMedia Classic Rock “105.9 The Rock” WNRQ Nashville for a few months in 2024. That was preceded by a decade in mornings at NABCO Rock “99.7 The Blitz” WRKZ Columbus OH from 2012 to 2022 and four years at Alternative “103.1 The Buzz” WPBZ West Palm Beach. He has also worked on-air at WZTA Miami, WAMX/WBKS Huntington WV, KHTB Salt Lake City, WZBH Salisbury MD, and WFLY Albany NY.
Loper commented, “Chattanooga is rock ’n’ roll, and KZ106 is one of the most respected rock stations in the country. This brand has history, attitude, and loyalty — everything that makes great radio matter. I’m fired up to wake this city up and be part of something legendary.”
Cumulus Chattanooga Operations Manager and WSKZ Program Director Scott Chase said, “The last time we changed the morning show was twenty-nine years ago. We wish John Boy and Billy a very happy retirement and can’t wait for Chattanooga to meet Jeremy. He’s talented, driven, and simply the right guy for this next chapter.”
