After stunting as “Santa Baby 1180” with Christmas music, NRG Media’s KZOT Bellevue/Omaha NE flipped today to Yacht Rock as “Yacht Rock 1180“.
The new brand is being marketed as “Omaha’s smooth-sailing destination for Yacht Rock, featuring classics from Michael McDonald, Steely Dan, Toto, and more.” The format picks up on the Yacht Rock weekends that had been featured on sister “101.9 The Keg” KOOO.
KOOO morning host Crash Davis will pull double-duty also anchoring mornings on KZOT.
KZOT had dropped its former Sports identity as “1180 The Zone 2” in mid-November where it had been serving as a flanker to “1620 The Zone” KOZN.
