Seehafer Broadcasting Full Service AC 1240 WOMT/107.9 W300EE Manitowoc WI will begin simulcasting on 98.9 WEMP Two Rivers on Sunday, February 1 with a call change to WOMT-FM.
The change will bring an end to the Easy Listening programming currently heard on WEMP.
Vice President of Operations Terry Stevenson said, “For the past two years, our team has been thoughtfully planning not only how to celebrate 100 years of live, local radio — but how to ensure the relevancy, sustainability, and growth of WOMT for the next generation. Simulcasting on both AM and FM allows WOMT to significantly expand both its geographical reach and demographic reach.”
The company also announced that University of Wisconsin basketball and football and Green Bay Packers football will move from WEMP to Classic Rock “Q102” WQTC, while Milwaukee Brewers baseball, Milwaukee Bucks basketball, and local high school sports will remain on WMT
