Audacy has announced that Andy Hawk is the new Brand Manager for Classic Rock “Eagle 96.9” KSEG and Rock “98 Rock” KRXQ Sacramento.
Hawk will continue to also serve as Brand Manager and afternoon host for “Alt 94.7” KKDO. It marks a return to KRXQ for Hawk where he previously interned and later held roles as host of “Local Licks” and then traffic and weather anchor. He has also worked at KEDJ Phoenix and defunct Alternative 106.5 KWOD Sacramento.
Hawk commented, “I’ve grown up with these stations and have worked alongside the programmers of KRXQ and KSEG for the last two decades. It’s truly an honor to get to lead these two massive Sacramento Brands.”
Audacy VP/Rock Formats Ryan Castle commented, “Andy’s smarts, passion and love for Sacramento make him the definitive choice to lead these two legendary brands into their next chapter. He is a Sacramento native who has an understanding of this community’s pulse. We’re excited for him to take the reins on all the Rock stations in this region and see the impact he makes.”
The promotion of Hawk follows the exits last week of KRXQ Assistant Brand Manager/morning host Paul Marshall and KSEG Assistant Brand Manager/afternoon host Ken Anthony.
