With Usher Media Group set to acquire the majority of the NRG Media Omaha cluster, and Nebraska Public Media purchasing Classic Alternative “101.9 The Keg” KOOO, Mike Neville is moving from KOOO to Hot AC “Sweet 98.5” KQKQ-FM.
Neville will continue in the same afternoon time slot he held at KOOO. He joined the then-Classic Rock “101.9 The Keg” in 2015 as a part-timer, rose to afternoons in 2017, and later took on the roles of cluster Promotions Coordinator and Music Director of KOOO through its shifts to Variety Hits and recently Classic Alternative.
With Neville moving to afternoons at KQKQ-FM, current afternoon host Nikki Oswald will move up from afternoon drive to middays. She also had been tracking mornings on KOOO, which is now running jockless until the sale closes.
