Connoisseur Media has announced a pari of leadership promotions at its Long Island properties.
Darren DiPrima has been promoted from Director of Sales to Station Manager for the Long Island cluster. DiPrima will “be the operational quarterback and the bridge for programming, sales, promotions, and operations to ensure the stations run smoothly day-to-day and execute company strategy.” DiPrima has been with the cluster since 2006 and commented, “I’m excited to expand my role, focus on what I do best, and continue working closely with our advertisers. I’m grateful for this opportunity and look forward to serving our team, listeners and business partners in new ways.”
Connecticut & Long Island General Manager Kristin Okesson said, “This was an obvious next step for Darren and the Long Island cluster. We needed this position, he was built for this position, and I have full confidence this promotion will further Darren’s success — and the success of our Long Island cluster — where he is so well loved.”
Patrick Shea, who serves as cluster Operations Manager and Program Director/afternoon host for Hot AC 97.5 WALK, will also serve as Director of Technical Systems for Long Island and Connecticut where he will work with local engineers and IT staff, and act as a go-to leader for systems integration, automation and technical operations across the clusters.
Shea commented, “My sleeves are already rolled up. I’m excited to work even more closely with the engineering and operations teams at both clusters to keep our systems humming and support our mission every day.”
Okesson also stated that the company is seeking a successor for DiPrima as Director of Sales commenting, “We’re looking for someone operating at a different level — a true partner for our advertisers, our staff, and our communities.
