Updated: iHeartMedia has been making cuts this week to its sales and management rosters across its market portfolio.
Sources indicate that cuts have been ongoing over the past several days with local market account executives mostly affected along with many Market and Area Presidents. At least one Division President has also exited the company as part of the ongoing restructuring.
We reported last week that cuts on the sales side were expected at iHeart.
Among the known departures:
Detroit
Nick Gnau has exited as Division President based in Detroit. Gnau has been with iHeart for over three decades previously holding Regional Market Manager for markets including Dayton, Lima, and Marion OH and later Detroit Region President before rising to Region President first for the smaller Community markets until moving to its Markets Group in 2020.
Denver
Brenda Egger exits as Denver Region President. Egger joined the company in 2019 to oversee the operations of iHeart’s Denver, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins stations after serving as Market Manager of the CBS Radio turned Wilks Broadcasting turned KSE Media cluster from 2008 to 2019. She has also served as Market Manager for Citadel Broadcasting Colorado Springs and worked in sales for iHeartMedia’s 850 KOA Denver.
Oklahoma City
Jason Wilson has exited as Area President for Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri. Wilson joined iHeart in November 2024 from Cox Media where he was Vice President of its Oklahoma/Arkansas Region and has also held multiple sales roles in the Wichita market including at LIN TV, Sinclair, and Journal Broadcast Group.
