Blue Ridge Public Radio completed the move of 90.5 WYQS Mars Hill NC into Asheville and brought its “BPR Classic” Classical service to the station today.
WYQS upgraded from a Class A to a C3 licensed to Asheville with 750w/366m from High Top Mountain. The Classical service had been heard on 107.9 W300CR Asheville and 88.1 WCQS-HD2 since October 2022 when the organization swapped the frequencies of its Classical and News/Talk services.
“BPR Classic” registered a 2.2 share in the Fall 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings.
