Marco Mazzoli and Stefania Pittaluga’s ANCO Media Group have closed on their $1.4 million acquisition of Dance “Vibe 99.7” KHYZ Mountain Pass/Las Vegas, Hot AC “Vibe 98.1” KRXV Yermo/98.9 KHWY Essex and “Highway Country” 101.5 KIXF Baker/107.3 KIXW-FM Lenwood/Barstow CA from Heftel Broadcasting Company.
With the closing, KHYZ has rebranded as “Revolution 99.7” matching the branding of co-owned “Revolution 93.5” WBGF Belle Glade/WZFL Islamorada/W228BY Miami FL. Positioning as “The Dance Station”, it is promoting that it will be heard on the entire drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas much like the former “Highway Stations” that previously aired on KHYZ, KRXV and KHWY hinting at a return of a simulcast.
KHYZ covers much of Las Vegas proper thanks to its 170w/493m booster atop Arden Peak.
