Compass Media Networks will take over management of marketing, distribution and advertising sales for WBLS New York’s “The Quiet Storm with Lenny Green” starting on June 1.
Green has anchored the nighttime R&B love songs show on WBLS since 2012 when he moved over from the former “98.7 Kiss-FM” WRKS where he had anchored the similar “Kissing After Dark” for nearly 15 years. He also served as APD of WRKS. The show airs nationally from 7pm-12am Monday through Thursday and 7-10pm on Sunday. Affiliates include WJMR Milwaukee, KRMP Oklahoma City, WTUG Tuscaloosa, KJMH Lafayette LA, and WAKB Augusta GA.
Green commented, “I’m blessed to be in the position I’m in, and my ultimate goal is to continue to touch lives and spread love to more cities. The Quiet Storm has always been about connection, passion, and bringing people together through music and conversation. I’m excited to begin this new chapter with Compass Media Networks as we continue growing the brand and reaching even more listeners nationwide.”
Compass SVP/Affiliate Sales and Content Nancy Abramson commented, “I have admired Lenny Green and the Quiet Storm for years, Lenny is known and loved by affiliates and listeners across the country. I’m thrilled to bring The Quiet Storm with Lenny Green to our affiliates.”
The Quiet Storm with Lenny Green had been distributed by Superadio Networks.
