Ryan Maddox has exited iHeartMedia’s National Programming Team after 22 years with the company.
Maddox started with the company as a teenager hosting weekends and fill-in at CHR 93.3 WFLZ Tampa before spending six years as APD/MD/afternoon host at “Power 96.1” WWPW Atlanta from 2014-2020. Since then he has served as a National Programming/Music & Playlist Curator while also tracking stations including K-Pop “Pop 101.9” KUCD Honolulu.
Maddox told RadioInsight, “I have recently been affected by the company’s recent workforce reductions and am officially on the market for my next chapter. Radio has been my life’s passion; I first stepped into a studio and caught the broadcasting bug when I was just 16 years old. Over the last two decades at iHeart, I’ve had the privilege of driving programming, elevating talent, and connecting with audiences on a massive scale. While closing this chapter is a major shift, I am incredibly energized about the future. I am actively looking for my next leadership or creative opportunity across several verticals, including radio programming and talent roles, streaming and playlisting curation and strategy, and record label operations and artist relations.”
Maddox can be reached at [email protected] or on LinkedIn.
