Townsquare Media has brought the programming of Audacy’s “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM Detroit to another market as Classic Rock “US 103.1” WQUS Lapeer MI became “103.1 The Ticket” this morning.
Operated out of Townsquare’s Flint cluster where the station rimshots that market, the move now places WXYT-FM’s programming in all five markets the company operates in Michigan as it previously flipped stations in Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Lansing when the network launched on December 1, 2025.
WQUS covers the eastern side of the Flint market. It’s previous format competed with Krol Communication’s “103.9 The Fox” WRSR Owosso, which covered Flint and areas west. WRSR was second in the Flint market with a 6.9 share in the Fall 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings, while WQUS did not register after a 0.3 share last Spring. It now becomes the only Sports station in the market.
