Going silent were Millennial Hits “Wish 98.9” WISH-FM Galatia/Marion IL, Classic Country 1060 WMCL/107.9 W300BD McLeansboro and 94.5 W233CY Mount Vernon IL, Oldies 1210 WILY/98.7 W254BE Centralia IL, and Classic Hip Hop “101.9 The Block” 1170 KJXX Jackson/101.9 K270CN Cape Girardeau MO.
In silent STAs filed with the FCC, owner Dana Withers said, “Licensee requests silent authority for 180 days to determine if a reorganization of broadcast licenses would be fiscally efficient, and if appropriate, undertake said reorganization. This is in the public interest as licensee seeks to continue to serve the local community.”
Withers Broadcasting owns stations across Southern Illinois, southeast Missouri and Paducah KY.
