Beasley Media Group has sold 93.5 W228CJ Detroit to Birach Broadcasting for $450,000.
Birach will utilize the translator to rebroadcast Brokered Ethnic WNZK Dearborn Heights. WNZK is one of the few stations licensed to operate on dual frequencies with its daytime programming heard on 690, while at night the station slides over to 680.
W228CJ currently operates as Regional Mexican “La Tricolor 93.5/99.1” along with 99.1 W256EA Birmingham via 105.1 WMGC-HD2 Detroit. The brand launched last October utilizing programming from Entravision.
The purchase is the second translator acquisition for Birach this week following its purchase of 96.7 W244BQ Park Ridge/Chicago IL for $1 million.
