iHeartMedia News/Talk 600 KOGO San Diego early evening host Leland Conway is returning to his former late morning slot on 840 WHAS Louisville.
Conway previously hosted 9am to 12pm at WHAS from 2014 to 2020. Prior to joining KOGO, Conway served as 2-4pm host at 630 KHOW Denver. A Kentucky native, Conway has also previously held roles at WRVA Richmond and WLAP Lexington. He will now host 10am-12pm at WHAS.
Previous 9am-12pm hosts Tony Vanetti and Dwight Witten will move up to mornings with Vanetti hosting solo from 6-8am and Witten joining him from 8-10am. Their show also reruns from 6-7pm. Previous morning host Nick Coffey was let go in iHeart’s cuts last week.
Conway posted, “I’m humbled that y’all would welcome me back, and I’m looking forward to working alongside Tony Vanetti & Dwight Witten, Terry Meiners, Scott Fitzgerald, Gus Allen and so many familiar faces again. It really feels like coming home. Thanks to modern technology, we’ll be keeping our place in Wyoming, but we’re already looking at buying a little piece of Kentucky again too. So going forward, I’ll either be “at the ranch” or “on the farm.” I think that’s a pretty good way to live. I can’t wait to catch up with old friends, meet some new ones, and spend a little time with you every day. Thanks for all the support over the years. It truly means more than you know.”
