Cromwell Media will flip Classic Rock “CJ 105.7” WCJZ Cannelton IN/Owensboro KY to Christian AC “105.7 The Bridge” on August 1.

The company is marketing its soon-to-launch brand as “a locally focused service built around faith-based music, community partnerships and regional programming.” It will join three existing non-commercial brands in the format available in the market in “Way-FM” 91.3 W217BP/WJWA Evansville, “Christian Family Radio” 91.7 WJVK Owensboro, and “K-Love” 101.9 WEKV Central City.

The Classic Rock format will move to three translators 92.1 W221EG Hawesville/Tell City IN, 97.9 W250BW Whitesville, and 101.3 W267BM Hawesville/Owensboro where it will replace News/Talk “K-News“.

The transition will start on July 24 with messages from community leaders and pastors. Cromwell Owensboro’s Dan Bartlett said, “The Bridge has been met with a lot of excitement in the community, and we are excited to offer it as a bridge to the community that offers positive, uplifting Christian music with a local feel to it. That is our biggest thing: the local feel, highlighting the local churches and highlighting the local Christian-led businesses.”
