iHeartMedia Country 98.7 WMZQ Washington DC and 93.1 WPOC Baltimore has announced the addition of Kelly Ford as Music Director and afternoon host for both stations.
Ford will be heard from 3-7pm weekdays filling the position on WMZQ that had been held by Ty Bailey and on WPOC that most recently was held by Jeff St. Pierre. She said, “I’m so excited to plant my flag in the DMV and honored to join two iconic brands like WMZQ and WPOC as Music Director and Afternoon Host. The cherry on top is getting to work with Jeff Kapugi as our views of what makes great, compelling radio and building community align perfectly. And I get to do it in America’s 250th year – great timing!”

Ford joins the stations from Connoisseur Media’s “103.1 The Wolf” WWWF Bay Shore NY where she was Music Director and afternoon host, while also tracking afternoons for WFLS Fredericksburg VA and nights at KUPL Portland and KBAY San Jose. Ford joined WWWF in July 2024 and added the MD duties two months later. She previously hosted mornings at WNSH New York from 2019 until 2021 after being part of Westwood One’s “America’s Morning Show” and “Ty, Kelly & Chuck” from 2015-18. Ford also spent two decades at KYGO Denver from 1992 to 2012 and hosted Key Networks’ syndicated “Backstage Country” in 2023-24.
