Sports Radio 610 To Take KKHH’s Spot As 95.7 The Fan

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
July 22, 2026

95.7 The Fan Sports Radio 610 KILT Houston KIKK-FM Audacy is moving “Sports Radio 610” KILT Houston to FM adding a simulcast on what is now Variety Hits “95.7 The Spot” KKHH on Thursday, August 13.

The move will bring a rebrand to “95.7 The Fan“. The move is coinciding with the NFL’s Houston Texans first preseason game as KILT serves as the team’s flagship station along with sister Country “100.3 The Bull” KILT-FM. 95.7 will become KIKK-FM as the FM signal takes on the heritage call letters for the station associated with its Country format from 1966 to 2002.

KILT is currently one of three Sports stations in the market with a 0.9 share in June 2026 Nielsen Audio ratings. They compete against iHeartMedia’s “Sports Talk 790” KBME’s 1.4 share as home of MLB’s Houston Astros and NBA’s Houston Rockets and Gow Media’s rimshot “ESPN 97.5” KFNC.

KILT’s Sports format debuted in September 1994. With the move to FM, Audacy will have 23 FM All-Sports stations across its portfolio including each of the top eleven markets, thirteen of the top twenty, and fifteen of the top twenty five.

Audacy Chief Business Officer Chris Oliviero said, “Houston boasts some of the most passionate sports fans in the country, and they deserve both the content and distribution that matches their energy. Between our incredibly entertaining and informative lineup of local hosts and our exclusive partnership with the Texans, we are the ultimate destination for Houston sports fans. Launching 95.7 The Fan as our tenth FM sports station in the top ten U.S. markets is a proud milestone and solidifies Audacy’s leadership in local sports audio. We can’t wait to bring this unbeatable coverage to even more fans so they can join the conversation and stay connected to the teams they love.”

With the demise of KKHH, Greg ‘Grego’ Onofrio will exit the station. Grego has hosted programming inserts and served as brand ambassador for the station since 2019. He previously spent three stints in the market at then-Rock 101.1 KLOL and KIAH-TV. He’s also held on-air roles at stations including WIOD Miami, KEGL Dallas, and WRKZ Columbus.

Hot 95.7 The Spot KKHH Houston CBSINSTANT INSIGHT: While not a surprise that Audacy would bring its largest remaining AM Sports station to FM especially after making the move earlier this year in Chicago and launching a new brand in Los Angeles, the choice of KKHH is more of a surprise. The station is currently the most listened to in the Audacy Houston cluster with a seventh ranked 4.7 share and second overall in CUME. The loss of the Spot will benefit iHeartMedia’s market leading AC “Sunny 99” KODA and Radio One’s third ranked Classic Rock “107.5/106.9 The Eagle” KGLK/KHPT.
