iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 710 WOR New York has announced a multi-year extension with midday host Mark Simone and will expand his show to three hours running from 9am to 12pm.
Simone has hosted 10am-12pm on WOR since iHeart acquired the station at the start of 2012. Before joining WOR he hosted Saturday nights and fill-ins at 770 WABC from 1993 to 2011 and also hosted at SiriusXM as well as co-hosting syndicated shows with Tom Snyder and Steve Allan in his career. He also worked at New Wave 101.9 WPIX-FM earlier in his career.
Program Director Tom Cuddy said, “Mark Simone is one of the most talented and respected broadcasters in America. His ability to inform, entertain and connect with listeners is unmatched. Expanding his show by an additional hour is a win for our audience, our advertisers and the station.”
Simone commented, “I’m not exactly an early riser, so this will take a little getting used to. But the demand for this was overwhelming, from the audience and the advertisers. The first rule of mass media is to give the people what they want, so I’m honored and happy to do it.”

With Simone’s expansion to three hours, the morning show hosted by Curtis Sliwa and Larry Mendte will now run from 6-9am.
