Lotus Communications has flipped Spanish Rhythmic “Ritmo 96.5” KPSL-FM Bakersfield CA to Regional Mexican “Grupera 96.5“.
The change took place on August 1 with the station now focusing on the music subgenre with core artists including Los Bukis, Los Emararios, Liberacion, Intocable, Los Yonic’s Zamacona, Los Angeles Azules, Conjuto Primavera, Grupo Brindis, and Industria Del Amor.
With the shift, KPSL-FM adds Aire Radio Network’s “El Terrible Por Las Manañas” based at KLAX Los Angeles in mornings. Previous morning host Karina ‘La Mamy’ Perez Loya moves to middays. Program Director Rubén ‘El Garfield’ Sánchez remains in afternoons.
KPSL-FM had flipped from Regional Mexicon “La Ley 96.5” to Spanish Rhythmic in February 2025. The station registered a 2.2 share in the June 2026 Nielsen Audio ratings.
