Longtime CHR and Classic Hits personality and programmer Ron Parker passed away on Friday night following a brief illness.
Parker most recently was heard on SiriusXM’s 60s and 70s channels. A member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame and Texas Radio Hall of Fame, Parker has held on-air roles at WQXI AM/FM and WZGC Atlanta, WLCY AM/FM and WCKX Tampa, WINZ-FM and WHYI Miami, KKBQ AM/FM Houston, KFRC AM/FM San Francisco, WCBS-FM New York, and WLS-FM Chicago. He also programmed “Power 92” KKFR Phoenix, Satellite Music Network’s Hot AC network, and “K-Hits 107.5” KLDE Houston.
