With Founder/CEO Ed Levine set to retire at the end of the year, he has sold the company to Pamal Broadcasting.
Pamal, which currently operates eighteen brands across Albany, Glens Falls and the Hudson Valley NY and Rutland VT, will add Galaxy’s thirteen stations in Syracuse and Utica along with the company’s events and sports marketing divisions. An LMA will take effect on Thursday, October 1.

With this addition, Pamal stations cover an enormous geography ranging from New York City, Long Island and Northern New Jersey, through the entire Hudson Valley to the Capital District, up to Lake George and now out through Utica and Syracuse. It truly is a great opportunity for us all.”
Ed Levine commented, “I have been fortunate to live out a lifelong dream of mine for the past 36 years. Time and life march on! While I will miss Galaxy and Syracuse/Utica, I could not be happier to hand things off to Pamal Broadcasting. They are a committed group of upstate broadcasters who share much of the same DNA as Galaxy. Congratulations to Jim Morrell and his team, and best wishes for a great future!”

Utica: Rock “K-Rock” 94.9 WKLL Frankfort, Hot AC “Mix 102.5” WUMX Rome, Variety Hits “99.1 Tony-FM” W256AJ Utica/WKLL-HD2, and Sports “ESPN Utica/Rome” 1350 WRNY /96.5 W243DY Rome, and Silent 1310 WTLB Utica.
